ଦାରିଙ୍ଗବାଡିର ପୁରାତନ ନାମ ଥିଲା ଦାଲାବାଡି | ବ୍ରିଟିଶ ଶାଶକ ଡ଼େରିଙ୍ଗ ସାହେବ ଏହି ଅଂଚଳର ଦାୟିତ୍ୱରେ ଥିଲେ | ତାଙ୍କରି ନାମାନୁସାରେ ଏହାର ନାଁ ଦାରିଂବାଡ଼ି ହେଇଗଲା | ଦାରିଙ୍ଗବାଡି ଭୁବନେଶ୍ୱରଠାରୁ ପ୍ରାୟ 260 କିଲୋମିଟର ଦୂର ଅଟେ | ଦାରିଙ୍ଗବାଡ଼ିର ନିକଟତମ ରେଳଷ୍ଟେସନ, ବ୍ରହ୍ମପୁର ପ୍ରାୟ ୧୨୦ କି.ମି. ଦୂରତ୍ୱରେ ଅବସ୍ଥିତ ।
